Credited as the kick starters of the BritPop scene, English indie pop/rock band Suede is back in full swing! Despite breaking up in 2003, the band reunited in 2010 and is back with a new album, a new tour, and a refreshingly familiar sound with the release of Bloodsports.
Arriving in the music scene in the early 90s, Suede quickly captured the attention and hearts of fans with their sweeping, guitar-heavy sound. Often credited for starting the BritPop movement, their 1993 debut album was the fastest-selling first album in U.K. history.
Suede debuted several of the tracks their sixth studio album, Bloodsports, online, including "Barriers" and "It Starts and Ends with You." The release featured a more mature perspective from vocalist Brett Anderson, and a sound that harked back to the grand guitar pop of Suede's early work. Suede has definitely lived up to the title of being the “Best New Band in Britain”, which they were dubbed back in 1992 by the U.K weekly music press.
Suede will be performing “LIVE” in Singapore at the Hard Rock Coliseum, Sentosa on September 27, 2013 (Friday). Fans can expect to hear both the latest and the greatest hits like “Animal Nitrate”, “Stay Together” and “Trash” in this one night only performance!
