Do you smell that? Well, if you do smell something hot, rest assured that it's not the haze (we hope). It smells like Boys Like Girls is back!

Following the release of their third full-length album Crazy World and a minor change in line-up, the band is ready to return to Singapore shores to rock our socks off — only this time, they will be stripping down... oh, get your mind out of the gutter and let me complete my sentence! What I meant was, they will be stripping down their usual rock gear and trading their electric guitars for acoustic guitars in their one-night-only acoustic show on Oct 18.

They will be headlining Singapore's ION Orchard mall's fourth anniversary, which has seen stars like BLUE and David Cook in its previous anniversary celebrations.

The band, which originated in Massachusetts in 2005, has achieved tremendous success in their career. Breaking into the music scene with their debut album Boys Like Girls, their hits have gone on to become pop-rock anthems that are still widely-known today. I believe everyone has heard of "Hero/Heroine", the band's very first single. Next came Love Drunk, which saw Boys Like Girls take on a different sound as lead vocalist Martin Johnson started singing in lower keys and the elements of rock in their music became more prominent.

After a long hiatus which proved painful to their adoring fans, they returned in 2012 with Crazy World EP in July and later, the Crazy World LP. The band returned with a new bassist, Morgan Dorr, after former bassist Bryan Donahue left the band in late 2011. The line-up change wasn't the only major change the band underwent — they also country-fied their music. Indeed, Boys Like Girls gives listeners an all-new experience with each release and that is how they have managed to stay relevant after all these years.

We simply cannot wait to watch the four-piece rock band perform at the ION Fashion Concert! They last played in Singapore at the Straits Times Appreciates Readers (STAR) concert in July 2012. We can expect to hear their old hits as well as new material from Crazy World at the ION concert. Lead guitarist Paul DiGiovanni shared with us earlier this year that "The Grade Escape" was his ultimate favourite track to perform so we just might hear them perform that acoustically in Singapore!

If you're a die-hard BLG fan like yours truly, you will be delighted to know that ION Orchard has 25 pairs of meet & greet passes to meet the band! You can learn more over at
