We did it. We finally made it to 2014. Give yourself a pat on the back (or a pat on the shoulder if you can't reach your back) for making it thus far. Things in the entertainment industry get more exciting with each year and 2014 is certainly not the exception to the rule.
With long-anticipated music albums, movies and TV series slated for premieres this year, you can bet that 2014 will be a colourful and exciting year!
Disney's JaNEWary Night of Premieres
We know Friday nights are usually G.N.O.'s or date/party nights but January 17 is one Friday night you might want to stay home. Disney Channel will be hosting its JaNEWary Night of Premieres, which is basically a marathon of new series/episodes/movies.
What you can expect from JaNEWary Night of Premieres:

In the first look episode, “I Didn’t Do It” star Olivia Holt takes on her former Kickin' It co-star Leo Howard.
Hilary Duff's musical comeback
After a seven-year hiatus from making music, former Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff has begun work on her fifth album and has announced plans to release the currently-untitled album in Fall 2014. If you can't wait that long, no worries — the first single will be released this Spring for fans to get a glimpse of what to expect from the 26 year old star's comeback album!
R5 Rocks the World
Pop band R5 will kick off their first world tour on Feb 5 in Warsaw. The five-piece group will be travelling to Europe, North America and Asia (and possibly more places) during this tour to promote their debut album Louder, which was released in September 2013 to critical acclaim. More dates for the world tour will be announced in due time. Seeing a band's transition from a small-name band to a world-famous band is just amazing and I couldn't be happier for them.
Mr. Peabody & Sherman
Humans adopt dogs all the time. However, in the fictional universe depicted in DreamWorks Animations' Mr. Peabody & Sherman, things appear to be the other way around. The film features Mr. Peabody, a talking dog who is the smartest being in the world, and his adopted boy Sherman. When Sherman's misuse of their time traveling WABAC machine results in disastrous and comical results, it is up to them to put things on track before the space-time continuum is irreparably destroyed. The movie is based off characters from Peabody's Improbable History. Having seen the trailer for the movie countless times in theatres, I must say this will definitely be an interesting film to watch out for.
Ed Sheeran's sophomore album
Our favourite British songwriter Ed Sheeran has enjoyed a whirlwind success following the release of his debut album +. In between touring with his buddy Taylor Swift and writing for his pals from One Direction, Ed has been recording material for his second album, which will be released on February 17. The title of the album has not been announced as of yet but the singer recently tweeted that he had a big announcement for his fans on January 6. Could it be the announcement of the album's name and artwork? I sure hope so!
