They've hit the big screen and they've played some of the biggest arenas in the world. Nobody can get enough of British-Irish boy band One Direction. What's left for them to conquer? Well, the world of reality television, of course!

Simon Cowell, the man responsible for the formation of One Direction, has confirmed that the band might have a new television series of their own in the not-so-near-but-not-that-distant future. "I think there's something in the works, a possible TV show... We're going to talk about that in the next couple of weeks," the music mogul told Bang Showbiz.

One Direction is comprised of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik. Together, the five guys have released three albums — one platinum album (Midnight Memories) and two double-platinum albums (Up All Night and Take Me Home) as certified by the RIAA. With tons of coveted awards and the hearts of girls and guys all over the world under their belt, the band is indeed one of the most popular acts in the world today.

The lads are no stranger to the television world — after all, that's where they got their start. The band formed on British reality talent competition The X Factor in 2010, where they placed third. In 2012, they guest-starred on hit Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly as themselves. Before we can see plans for a television show materialise though, the band will have to release their fourth studio album, which will be available in stores in the second half of 2014.
