Hollywood Records' newest talent Sabrina Carpenter is all geared up and ready to be the next big thing. The 14 year old singer, who is also slated to star in upcoming Disney Channel sitcom Girl Meets World, made her music debut this week with the release of her first single "Can't Blame A Girl for Trying".

"Can't Blame A Girl for Trying" is a quirky (in the best way) pop song about a young girl who does stupid things when it comes to love. This song should appeal to fans of Jason Mraz or Colbie Caillat with its guitar-driven instrumentation and folkish-pop melody.

Expect to hear a lot more from Sabrina Carpenter this year — she will be starring in a spin-off of hit '90s sitcom Boy Meets WorldGirl Meets World will follow Cory and Topanga's daughter Riley (played by Rowan Blanchard) and her best friend Maya (played by Sabrina) as they navigate their way through middle school. Sabrina is also set to release her debut album sometime in 2014.
