Disney stars who have had run-ins with the law

Being teen royalty comes at a price. They may play sweet, innocent characters on-screen but when the cameras stop rolling, they are free to do whatever they want with their lives — and this is where legal trouble often ensues.

Jake T. Austin

Remember bovine little Max Russo from Wizards of Waverly Place? Well, the 19 year old star got into trouble with the law for driving under intoxication in late 2013. While he eventually managed to escape the DUI charges, he was named in a separate incident that involved a hit-and-run accident.

David Henrie

Nerdy Justin Russo from Wizards of Waverly Place was arrested, albeit wrongfully, back in 2010 for, and we quote, challenging someone to fight. This happened at Universal City Walk with his younger brother Lorenzo Henrie. Turns out, David was actually attacked while trying to protect his brother after being provoked by a security guard.

Anneliese van der Pol

Best known for portraying Raven's BFF Chelsea in hit Disney sitcom That's So Raven, the Dutch actress was arrested in 2006 for drunk-driving. A blood test showed that the amount of alcohol in her blood was more than twice the legal limit.

Mitchel Musso

Taking a ride on the Olly Trolley while drunk probably isn't the best idea as proven by the actor who played self-proclaimed ladies' man Oliver Oken in Hannah Montana. Mitchel spent a couple of hours behind bars for drunk-driving in 2011, with bail set at US$5,000. He was eventually set free without bail.
